We will strive to keep you up to date on all events and concerns in our Protective Association.

Association Meeting

On the second Wednesday of each month the HOA board holds a public meeting at 7pm - each meeting will start with an open forum for homeowners to raise issues and questions with the board. This month’s meeting (October 11, 2006) will be held at 1236 Via Teresa, at the home of board member, Andrea Williams.  All homeowners are welcome!  Please come and participate, we need your valuable comments and questions.

September’s meeting was a great success; we had 43 homeowners and 6 deputies show up for the Neighborhood watch meeting. We all learned a lot about the neighborhood, how to protect our community and what the Sheriff’s deputies can do for us and what they need from us.  Several individuals volunteered to serve as Neighborhood Watch commanders. Everyone gave great input and we implemented our first Homeowner Park clean up day! The twelve of us cleaned up the Via Teresa park entrance in about 4 hours.   We all worked hard and had a great time getting to know each other.

The NEXT:

Grove Park Community Work Day!

Clear your calendar on October 14, 2006 and meet us at the Via Camilla Entrance at 9:00 A.M

Calling all homeowners to help clear brush and clean up our park. Please bring any garden tools, trash bags, and if you have gas-powered tools, please bring them too.  We need individuals who have trucks and would be willing to haul away the cuttings to the dump.

Fire Safety is good for us all.

The vegetation around your home will become extremely dangerous as it dries out and temperatures rise.

The San Marcos Municipal Code requires homes built before January 1, 2004, maintains 100 feet of defensible space.

$ 500.00 Reward!

Vandalism costs all of us!

The GPHPA is still offering a Reward to anyone who can supply information that leads to a conviction of anyone committing vandalism in the common areas (Parks, Walkways, etc.). There is ongoing damage to individual homeowners fencing and the Public areas. Any information will be treated, as confidentially as possible Remember   this park is yours too!

Dispose of your hazardous waste for free!!

Rid your home of hazardous waste, used motor oil, fluorescent bulbs, old televisions or computer monitors? Call the North County HHW hotline at 1 (800) 444-4244 for disposal options.

Pet Dropping Clean Up…. Please!

Out of common decency and respect for your neighbors, (not to mention the fact it is in the CC&Rs and the San Marcos City Municipal Code) please pick up after your pets!  Droppings have been found in yards, on sidewalks, as well as common areas and streets.  An old newspaper bag or trash sack works easily for pick up and disposing of the droppings.  Please take a bag along with you when you walk your pet.

Overgrown Walkways and Parking Stalls.

Three cheers to the neighbors who have begun some work clearing the area around your house, we all can do better job in keeping our community a nice place to live. Show your pride in homeownership and trim your trees and shrubs so that people may enjoy walking around our neighborhood. Note all large trees need to have a minimum of 6ft. of clearance.  Remove or cut back all foliage, which is covering the sidewalks. Please, remove weeds, leaves and trash in your sections by the sidewalk and parking areas.
